The Good Hunting Club is a recently founded student club at Cornell University. In Fall 2011 we are working to gather support as we prepare to apply for official University recognition.
In June 2009, American Hunter magazine named Cornell University the 3rd best college in the nation for student hunters. Here in Ithaca, New York, we have the amazing fortune to be surrounded (quite literally) by public hunting lands. A thirty minute drive from Cornell can take you to 10 different public forests encompassing many thousands of acres. The Cornell Plantations Deer Management Program also provides even nearer hunting opportunities in order to assist in managing deer populations on University owned property.
The Good Hunting Club aims to connect student hunters at Cornell in order to facilitate regular hunting trips. We are also committed to providing hunting education to new members and the public. We are excited to welcome both experienced and novice members to our club.
As an organization, we are dedicated to the promotion of safe and ethical hunting practices. We are dilligent stewards of our natural resources, and we obey all local and state hunting regulations.
